2012 - Quick Thought

I am not feeling really great about any of the Republican candidates for 2012. Romney has Romney-care, Trump is a birther, T-Paw... who?, Newt flip-flops, and Sarah Palin is lacking experience. I could bring myself to vote for Romney, despite Romney-care, because I feel he would do a vastly better job than Obama. However, I really hope that another candidate steps out of the shadows. I'd like to find a candidate that I can understand, appreciate, and embrace. I'd like someone with Ron Paul's ideas, but younger and more energetic. I guess time will tell who I vote for in 2012.

Bill Cosby Dislikes Trump

This is one of the most amusing stories I've read / seen in a while. Bill Cosby, who is really a great guy if you've ever met him in person, has come out against Donald Trump. I've been less than enthusiastic with "The Donald" since he turned Birther, which makes the following clip all the more enjoyable.

I suggest you visit the site of the original clip HERE.

I really like Bill Cosby. I met him once briefly at my college graduation. He was one of our speakers and I was in the parking area when his limo showed up. He did a little song and dance for us. I don't remember exactly what he said, but he was wearing his sweatpants. He said something about being happy about able to wear comfortable clothing under the professor's graduation gown he was going to wear.

Anyway, Trump... I don't know what else to say. Bill Cosby doesn't seem to like him.

Pressure in Japan

Maybe I'm just thinking like that because it's 12:30 am. However, the pressurized reactor used so often in the United States has many more controls available than the boiling water reactors leaking in Japan. There would probably be fewer problems, despite the earthquakes and tsunamis, had they used the pressurized design. That's my two cents.

Trevor Stasik Self Doodle

I've never really done a self-portrait before. I was practicing with Adobe Illustrator and decided to give it a shot. This was done really fast, in about 20 minutes. The result is more of a self-doodle than a self-portrait. Regardless, I kind of like the look. To me, it looks a little bit like the "light bright" art I made as a kid.

Heavy Rain - Ethan Mars

A Playstation 3 game that I really like, Heavy Rain, features a very tragic character. His name is Ethan Mars. Well, again, I was playing around with Adobe Illustrator. I came up with this quick doodle based around his character. I think it's interesting to look at, so I thought that I would share it with you.

Desmond stepped out of the ice cream shoppe with a bright purple scrunchy in his hair.
“Dad”, Amanda begged, “you’re wearing it all wrong”. She pouted her 10 year old pouty lips while her ignoring her banana-berry ice cream cone.
Desmond waved a hand in the air, like he was waving to a crowd on a Milan runway. “Mandy, I am trying to be stylish. Don’t you want me to look good when I meet your friends later?”
“Don’t be silly, Dad. Your hair is too short,” she took a small bite from the crunchy cone. “Can I have it back now?”
“What do we say, Mandy?” Amanda thought her Daddy raised his eyebrow particularly high. Higher than usual anyway.
“Very well then.” Desmond pulled the purple elastic hair accessory from his hair. A suspicious young couple paced inside the ice cream shop waiting for them to leave. Jessica giggled from behind the store’s glass window as she watched Amanda and her father walk away. Jessica pulled down the blinds to the front of the ice cream shoppe.
Desmond noticed none of this as he handed the scrunchy to his favorite girl.

End Week 1.

Hangover - Part II - Coming Soon

I'm not sure how I feel about them making a "Hangover - Part II". I enjoyed the first one. It certainly made a high enough revenue to warrant a Part II. However, I really thought the first story covered all that there was to say about a group of friends that lose their other friend. Of course, I loved Die Hard 2... which is essentially Die Hard in an airport. So maybe I'll like it. At any rate, if having the movie made helps Ken Jeong get some more work, I suppose its worth it. My wife seems pretty happy about there being a funny monkey in the movie. I suppose that's all I feel like saying about the "Hangover - Part II" for now. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
